AJ, our friend from Southern India proudly gave us a history of their cuisine. And says that their country has different takes on Indian food. Rightfully so, I got an idea of what that was through our breakfast here.
It was a Friday morning and it is customary not to serve anything rice so we ended up having lots of Appan, a pancake made of rice cake. It was moist and soft sticky with light taste. It complements a bowl of Chicken Stew, cooked in coconut and other spices.
Their hard boiled eggs were prepared well. Appreciated that it didn’t need additional seasoning to make it appetizing. Their Milk Tea was highly caffeinated as expected, strong with a nice touch of sugar sweetness.
