My visit here caps off my review for all SM Mega Hall restaurants. Generally I gave a thumbs up to most if not all of them. Spanish Alqueria was another great experience.
At 10-11am, were the only diners and appreciated the hands on and fast paced service we received. I just hope it’s the same when it’s full.
The starters gave a yummy start. The Seafood Ceviche placed in toasted cupcaked wraps was interesting. Imagine sour soft meat paired with a salty crunch.
My favorite here was their Tostada Caldereta. If you were to only order one, this has to be it. Bread with an amazing tender corned beef in fresh tomato sauce as its main base. Am salivating just writing this.
Paella wasn’t he best one I’ve tried but I appreciated them re creating the Vegetarian version for us. The rice was very tasty in itself. Varied textures came to play with some of the burnt rice from its plate. It could have used more vegetables though.
Even the Mint Iced tea was phenomenal. Wait staff says its brewed and that they will use Muscovado sugar instead. Note I don’t order drinks a lot especially Iced Teas.
So I tried their Churros. I meant I because my companion left earlier. So I had this sinful dessert just for me (insert evil laugh). I must say I was a happy dude dipping their none greasy Churros to their delectable dark sweet chocolate. Yes, I dipped many times because it was all mine.
