Cooking at home surely has its pros and cons. Yes, you can be in charge of the menu and you get to serve lovely meals to your family, but it can also be stressful, especially because there are other things and concerns to juggle on a daily basis. Fret not, Del Monte Kitchenomics is here to the rescue!
Del Monte has been a trusted partner for the Filipino cook for many years now, and to better help with this, their website www.lifegetsbetter.ph is now accessible 24/7 for a more convenient and hassle-free culinary experience. Also, a cooking show hosted by Kapuso leading lady Carla Abellana and multi-awarded pastry chef Jackie Ang-Po, will have fresh episodes that will feature easy-to-follow, tested and engaging recipes—just in time for the holiday festivities.
Held at GMA Network Center, the media attendees were welcomed with a hearty lunch of courses made more delicious with Del Monte products. We were treated to Creamy Cheesy Menudo, which made a great pair with rice; Pork Piña Hamonado, that provided a subtly sweet but savory flavor, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, a Filipino household staple; and Fiesta Leche Flan, which had a healthier twist, with bits of fruit hidden inside the flan.
What can you expect from the site? Under the Kitchenomics section, you may sign up for free to unlock the Meal Planner function and effortlessly plan up to a month’s worth of menus and shop for all your cooking needs. Choose among various recipes like Pineapple Potato Salad, Del Monte Paella, Kalderetang Kambing, Chicken Guisado, Fruity Caramel Pie, Four Cheese Spaghetti, and many more.
After the site was presented, Del Monte Brand Manager Tanya Teves-Abanilla sat with the hosts for a question and answer session about the revamped website, future plans for it, as well as what viewers can look forward to seeing on the show.
It was suggested that Calorie Counter and online promos could be made available to the website soon. For the show, Chef Jackie and Carla mentioned that it is exploring to prepare some no bake cake recipes that could easily be replicated at home.
Now I suggest you check out their platform, www.lifegetsbetter.ph and enjoy the exclusive digital cookbooks that are only available to members (signing up is free). And while you are it, you can also watch Del Monte Kitchenomics with new episodes starting December 10, 11:55am on GMA7.
