I’ve been here before and probably more than once. It’s one of those go to for bulalo and other Filipino favorites. They say you gotta have at least one serving of bulalo on your Tagaytay trip. We had it our lunch before heading back to Manila.
The place was quite rundown but forgivable with their generous portions on all of their dishes. Their bulalo though wasn’t my top pick as its soup was quite tame and could use more fish sauce. The meat though was tender and soft enough.
Kare Kare had a thick sweet sauce just the way I like it. Its beef was tasty even without bagoong. It could use more peanuts for added texture.
My favorite was their Boneless Bangus. It’s size was one of the biggest I’ve seen and marinated to perfection. It’s salt and sour taste was balanced and its outer skin with a cool crunch to it.
