I don’t eat hotdogs but sausages I occasionally have. A week ago, I received a message from Migo’s and they sent me their products for me to try. I had two kinds of their savory Hungarian sausages, as well as smoked Bacon slabs. This was accompanied by a bottle of Winnegar by Dew Acabado, a sweet and bold blend of vinegar.
Migo shared with me his humble beginnings. He started curating his own recipe when he was still working for WNS, a BPO company in Eastwood. Now he operates this full-time and serves his products to establishments like Laruan Cafe in Maginhawa, Pork at Your Own Risk in Timog, Walrus in Katipunan and 3 Guys and a Grill in Makati.
Migo’s serves sausages made with coarsely chopped ground carabeef, a high protein, and low-fat meat. You can expect a bite that is lean but still juicy. Out of two varieties, Mild Spicy Hungarian and Cheesy Hungarian, I enjoyed the former more for its kick of heat.
For the Bacon, it was crisp and filled with distinct flavors. I was able to try three kinds, Hickory Smoked Hungarian, Applewood Smoked Rosemary and Cedar Smoked Barbecue.
