Amazing news for the culinary school scene as well as aspiring chefs, restaurateurs and people seeing to get into the hospitality industry, The Moderne Culinaire Academy (MCA) Launches Partnership with Malaysia’s KDU and Berjaya Universities.
A whole new world of opportunities has opened for the new breed of culinary students of Moderne Culinaire Academy, who are educated in not just culinary arts but also taught to understand and learn the more technical and business side of the hospitality industry.
This year, the MCA has announced its partnership with KDU University College and Berjaya University College of Hospitality in Malaysia, which both are prestigious and highly-renowned for their culinary programs. This entails that the students of MCA enjoy the privilege of having these institutions a part of their journey towards being a successful professional in the culinary and hospitality industry.
I was invited to MCA at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig, as they opened their doors to hold a Grand Open House for the announcement of the partnership as well as a whole lot more.
This new player and one of the leading culinary schools in the Philippines is equipped with state-of-the-art kitchens, dining and restaurant facilities, lecture room, a full bar, Wi-Fi access and a culinary research center. Simply put by Chef Dino Guingona, Head Chef and Culinary Program Director of MCA, this school is”a real culinary school and not a business pretending to be a culinary institution.”
On this special media invite and tour, we were treated to a showcase of how to whip your own cupcake skills primarily through decorating with fruits and cream. This was undertaken by one of their Chefs. After we had a cocktail party by Moderne Culinaire Catering, MCA’s own catering service. An appetizing and delicious selection of food was served as prepared by the school’s master chefs. That definitely was a great way to experience firsthand the art, skills and expertise of the school and its chefs.
MCA provides programs for degrees done full time as well as short courses and summer workshops. If your interest has been sparked as mine had been, I highly encourage going over to their refreshingly bold website at http://www.moderneculinaire
