Amidst the dense number of establishments along a very short street, Pearl Drive in Ortigas Center, there’s still a mini food park there to cater consumers looking for variety of offerings that are quick and affordable. Streatery has two floors and there is a gem inside it.
Rebel Chicken primarily offers oven bakes quarter chicken served in three different flavors – savory Portuguese Peri Peri, sweet Hawaiian Huli Huli, and spicy Jamaican Jerk. Soon they will offer other products from Malaysia and Singapore.
This stall was inspired by Singapore’s hawker scene, Makansutra. The owners combined their love for food and travel to come up with one of the tastiest chicken meat I’ve had in awhile. And it’s only Php 85!
On top of already flavor filled meat, their variety of sauces gives it another worthwhile boost. I love the Jamaican Jerk’s peppery and sweet dip most. It’s actually addictive, perfect with their Blue Pea Flower rice.
Hey. If you are in the area, take my word for it and give them a visit. The place where they are is a bit tacky and old, but forgivable once you try them.
