At this busy street of Salcedo in Makati lies a humble spot for healthy eating. Their menu boasts a long list of choices, too much in fact that it took us awhile to pick. Who says organic food is boring?
For starter we had a colorful bowl of tangy and fresh Salmon Ceviche. This South American staple had a nice balance of flavors, thanks to the combination of GMO-free corn, lime, cilantro, onions, garlic, chipotle peppers, and a chunk of avocado.
We got Green Eggs and Tomato Omelette for one of our mains. This breakfast plate was filled with nutrients and taste. Inside the soft and fluffy organic egg are kale, spinach, leeks, wild mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, Swiss Emmental cheese and pine nuts. This dish came with breakfast side salad and sourdough toasts.
They got tons of salads here as expected, and we picked the American inspired one. Our filling and savory Barbecue Chicken Salad had tender breast chicken fillet, GMO-free blue corn, tomatoes, homemade slaw, black beans, baked onions, and wonton crisp. This was joined by a wonderful spread of hickory barbecue sauce on top and ranch dressing.
For my beverage, I got a refreshing boost of Be Alive, a shake that assists in hydrating and anti-inflammatory. It has apple, kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, lemon and to spice it up, hints of ginger.
