When they first opened in S Maison at the Mall of Asia Complex, I didn’t doubt that they could go far. The rich history and authenticity of their brand and products could work here in Manila. Today, they have 4 branches already!
I brought Mia, my girl friend, and her family here yesterday, after a feast at nearby Paradise Dynasty. I was hoping to bump into Sean Ponce too, one of the owners. I met him months ago.
We were quite full but I wanted to give Mia’s family a full preview of why Tsujiri is special. We shared first Uji Sunrise, a towering dessert of shaved ice filled with bitter-sweet Matcha, mochi, mushy red bean and condensed milk to add sweetness. It was both delightful to see and have, definitely good to share!
Next was a cup of bursting flavors and textures, their best selling, Tsujiri Sundae. I opted for Vanilla this time around for the ice cream flavor. It also had red bean, mochi pieces, burnt crispy rice and matcha gelatin in them. One spoonful is magic, try it yourself and you’ll know why!
Not on photo, out of sheer excitement was a Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. This dessert plate did not disappoint either. It was rich, moist and had loads of wet dark chocolate in it.
The kids with us had their fare share of sweet. They had an ice cream cone of Matcha and Vanilla.
Have you been to the newest mall in Ortigas? The wordpress Podium new wing opened just late last year. If ever you land here, Tsujiri could be your go to stop for dessert or even a snack.
